Include Epic proficiency as a measurable goal in the Focal Point Review (FPR) process. When communicating with employees, focus on what needs to change (outcomes) instead of how things will change. It’s important to identify rumors in a way that preserves team members’ anonymity. Rumors can be collected via email, collection boxes or through FAQ postings. Clearly communicate what the choices and consequences are for each employee. By providing simple, clear choices along with consequences, you put accountability and control back into the employee’s hands. Show the benefits of Epic in a real and tangible way.
