What is USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT)?
In USTA JTT, the team concept emphasizes fun, fitness, and friends. The focus in this kind of play is on
enjoying exercising and learning the skills that make tennis fun for players at all ages and levels of competition.
Ages include: 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, and 18 & under.
Who will be on my team?
Evergreen Racquet Club Professionals will place players on teams to encourage fun and competitive matches for
each junior. A minimum of 3 girls and 3 boys will make up a team. Please list any friend(s) that you would like
to be on the same team on the registration form. Listing the names does not guarantee that you will be placed on
the same team.
When do we meet?
Juniors are scheduled to meet 7 times. Match dates are Fridays (June 12, 19, 26 - July 10, 17) and
Saturdays (June 20 & 27). Matches on Friday will be scheduled between the hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Matches on Saturday will be scheduled between the hours of 8:00am - Noon. All first place teams in each
division will be qualified to play in the District Championship Tournament in Effingham on July 20th for 18 & under and July 21st for 12 & under and 14 & under.
The winning team of the District Tournament and top performing 10 & under team will qualify to play the Midwest
Section Championship in Indianapolis July 31– August 2.
How do I register?
Complete and return the registration form to ERC with fee by Wednesday, June 3rd. A minimum of 6 juniors
per team is needed for each week’s match; so please indicate dates that you are unable to attend.
What is the cost?
The cost is $120 for anyone participating who is not a member of Evergreen Racquet Club and $100 for members
wishing to participate. By signing up, your place each week is guaranteed. Cost includes tennis court time and
balls. There may be spots on a week to week basis for a $20.00 fee. These spots will be offered on first come
basis every Monday. In addition, every youth participating must be a USTA member to play. (cost $20 per year)
