Position will be based out of Lake Nona (Orlando) Florida. Responsible for providing support to the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer in executing the USTA Strategic Diversity & Inclusion Plan in an effort to strengthen the image and reputation of the USTA in all communities and leveraging diversity and inclusion in all areas of USTA business. This position serves as subject matter expert for diversity and inclusion, with emphasis on Player Development talent identification, coaching education, and cultivation of excellence programs. Duties include but not limited to: Manage and oversee the D&I Excellence Grants process. Work directly with all D&I Excellence Grants Programs. Regular interaction with programs to assist in implementing their plans to produce elite players. Manage and oversee the D&I Individual Player Grants process. Work with the players, parents, and coaches of the grant recipients. Regular interaction with the aforementioned to assist in implementing their plans to maximize the players’ talent. Work with Player Development and provide support in the development and delivery of their diversity and Inclusion activities. Network with USTA Sections, Districts, and programs on identifying potential/future D&I Excellence Programs and D&I Individual Player Grant recipients. Network with Regional Training Center (RTC) Programs to monitor potential/future D&I Individual Grant recipients. Work closely with NJTL National Manager (e.g., talent ID at NJTL Cup(s), NJTL Camps, and select program visits). Manage and oversee all D&I department activities as it relates to coaching recruitment, training, development, and engagement. Serve as the liaison to the Latino/Hispanic BRG. Works with the USTA Hispanic Engagement Advisory Group and other potential cross-functional teams. Serve as a certified facilitator for Cross-Cultural Dexterity (D&I Training). Qualifications/Other: A highly-versatile professional, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the tennis industry, diversity & inclusion management, or association management with a business and strategic sense. Proven record of working with elite junior tennis players, coaches, and programs. Thorough knowledge of the strategic business case for diversity & inclusion at USTA. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as great interpersonal skills. Ability to handle numerous projects at any given time and deliver outstanding finished product in a timely manner. Experience in developing and leveraging strategic partnerships (internal/external). Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, sports management, or related field. Ability to speak more than one language, a plus.
