The theme for this year’s EREC would be “Being a Witness in Pluralistic Society" WHY DID WE CHOOSE THIS THEME? When God chose and sent us to this world as Christ’s witness, we realize that we are living among a world full of diversity and differences in many aspects, be it beliefs, ideology, etc. In this pluralistic society and in the middle of our increasingly worsening generation it is certainly a challenge to live a God-‐
glorifying life, a life that is constantly practicing love to others, and to live a holy life, as Jesus Christ asked each of His disciples witness for Christ? We kindly invite you to grow with us and educate ourselves about these topics together through the European Reformed Evangelical Convention 2015. Rev. Billy Kristanto has served in church music since he was in Sunday school. After graduating high school he studied music in Berlin (UdK). In 1966 he continued his post-‐graduate studies at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag. He finished his theological studies in 2002, receiving the degree Master of Christian Studies from the International Reformed Institute (STTRII). In 2005 he was ordained as a minister of the GRII Synod and is currently pastor of GRII Kelapa Gading. After finishing his doctoral studies in Musicology and Theology at the University of Heidelberg, he received the title Dr. phil. in 2009 and Dr. theol in 2011. During his studies in Germany he served as a pastor in MRII/PRII churches in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Bern and Stockholm. Ev. David Tong currently serves as a pastor in MRII Boston, MRII Salt Lake City and MRII Los Angeles. He received his PhD title in Physics from the University of Connecticut and Th.M from Westminster Theological Seminary (WTS). He is now continuing his doctoral studies in WTS. Ev. Steve Hendra Was born in Surabaya, February 26, 1976. He repented and received Jesus as his personal saviour in 1996 during the SPIK led by Rev. Dr. Stephen Tong. The following year he gave himself to be full-‐time servant of God and from 2000 to 2003 studied theology at the Reformed Institute, Jakarta. He then served as the coordinator for the youth fellowship in GRII Andhika and as a lecturer at STRIS Andhika. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in LMU München and serves in GRII and MRII in Europe.
