If you sew, crochet, knit or craft then we have projects that you can get involved in. Our handmade gifts include: cloth diapers, women hygiene kits, pillowcase style dresses & shorts, yarn hats & scarfs, baby beanies, hair bows & crocheted purse-cradles for Magi boxes, and drawstring tote bags. HHI Sewing for Jesus Workshops include a short presentation and then volunteers spend time making projects, prep cutting fabric for seamstresses, sorting linens, or creating Magi boxes. Patterns, fabric, and project supplies are available for you to take home. Simply return the completed projects to HHI on your next volunteer day or give them to your churches Sewing for Jesus Representative. Sewing for Jesus Wish List: Flannel, Velcro (sew on Hook & Loop 1in), Fleece, PUL (amazon.com), Yarn, Fabric, and LOTS of T-Shirts (any adult size, all colors & logos accepted) We are also seeking electric & non-electrical sewing machines to help women start their own tailoring business in African villages.
