Student Involvement also organizes sporting events (ex: Student-Faculty Softball) and the E-Week Competitions. Committee members should be organized, enthusiastic, and have a desire to foster greater student-student connections within the engineering community. Committee members should feel comfortable speaking to K-12 students in one-on-one and large group settings. Corporate Affairs Committee This committee organizes professional networking events such as information sessions, resume workshops, and the EngiTECH Career Fair. Committee members must be very organized, and comfortable with communicating professionally with industry reps and UCI staff and faculty members. Public Relations Committee This committee markets all ESC events and programs to the campus through class announcements, posters, flyers, social media, etc. Photoshop skills (or flyer-making skills) are extremely beneficial. Public speaking skills are a bonus as well (but can be developed on-the-job). Committee members should be creative and enthusiastic. Faculty Engagement Committee (Formerly “Service Committee”) This committee promotes student-faculty interaction through mixers, sporting events, and research panels. Some events include the Dean’s Welcome Back Picnic, E-Week Dean’s Breakfast, and Engineering Awards Banquet.
