He was the Head of the Division for Assisted Reproduction in Clinical Hospital Merkur in Zagreb, Croatia. He has authored and co-authored many scientific and professional articles. His main area of interest is metabolic disorder-PCOS-human endocrinology. GYÖRGY BÁRTFAI, Hungary He is professor emeritus and ob/gyn in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Szeged, Hungary. He is principal investigator in many international and national research projects, including a project in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO). Besides the patient care and clinical duties, he participates in the education of the medical students and in the continuing medical education of professionals in Hungary. From 2008-2010, he was Executive Committee member (assistant secretary) of, and from 2008, he has been a Board member of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). GORDAN CRVENKOVIĆ, Croatia He is an ob/gyn, consultant, IVF specialist, and founder and director of a private gynecologic clinic. During his education, he spent years in Moscow, Russia, and Los Angeles, USA. He has authored and co-authored many scientific and professional articles. He was the Head of the Division for Family Planning and Contraception in the University Clinic in Petrova, Zagreb, Croatia. In addition, he served as a Board member of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). GALINA DIKKE, Russian Federation She is MD and a professor of the Russian Peoples' Friendship University, Moscow, Russian Federation. Her main areas of interests are reproductive health, reproductive choice, unplanned pregnancy, abortion and contraception; public health; education and training in medicine and health management; prevention of the harmful effects of alcohol and fetal alcohol syndrome. She participates in WHO projects in Russia “A strategic assessment of policy, programs and services in the sphere of unplanned pregnancy, abortions and contraception in the Russian Federation” (2010) and “Introduction of the Safe technologies for abortion in the first trimester (operational research)” (2014). She is a member of several national and international associations and a member of the Editorial Board for the Russian edition of Reproductive Health Matters magazine. She has authored and co-authored almost 300 articles and books. IVAN DRINKOVIĆ, Croatia He is a professor at Zagreb University, medical faculty, a specialist in radiology, a subspecialist in sonography, founder and director of a private clinic, and the chair of the Croatian Senologic Society. In the past, he has served as the vice president of the Executive Committee and the director for science of the Senologic International Society (SIS) for Europe. As honorable member of numerous international medical associations, he has won numerous awards. He has lectured at many Croatian and international schools on the continuous medical training for physicians. He has served on publishing committees for many scientific journals and has authored or co-authored many books and scientific and professional articles. LYUBOV EROFEEVA, Russian Federation She is an ob/gyn clinician and is certified as an “International Family Planning Instructing Doctor” by Manchester University, United Kingdom. She has successfully passed various thematic and managerial courses in both Europe and USA. For several years she worked at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a National Program Officer responsible for the development and implementation of different projects in the fields of psychological, somatic and reproductive health. Currently, she is Director General of the Russian Association for Population and Development (RAPD), and is the author of more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed international and national scientific journal. Since 2012, she has been a Board member of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). She is Chief Editor for the Russian edition of Reproductive Health Matters magazine. VESNA JUREŠA, Croatia LJILJANKA JURKOVIĆ, Croatia She is specialist of family medicine, and is national coordinator for the international scientific project, "Health Monitoring Project" in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute of Primary Health Care, NIVEL. She participates in education of family medicine, and is secretary general of the Croatian Association of Family Medicine. She has participated in many national and international medical convention. THEODOROS KALAMPOKAS, Greece He has a PhD and is an ob/gyn, consultant, and IVF specialist in “Aretaieion” Hospital at the University of Athens, Greece. He is author of a Cochrane Review, as well as several other publications. Currently, he is secretary general of the Greek Society of Family Planning and Contraception. ALEKSANDRA KAPAMADŽIJA, Serbia She is clinical professor at the University of Novi Sad, working in Clinical Center of Vojvodina, Serbia, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as a Head of the Family Planning Unit. She was principal investigator in Center of Novi Sad, in a multi-center World Health Organization (WHO) project for medical abortions (2003/2004). Since 2014, she has been a Board member of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). MAJA MARIĆ-BAJS, Croatia She is specialist of public health and is the Head of the Division for Reproductive Health in Educational Institute for Public Health “Dr. Andrija Štampar” in Zagreb, Croatia. She is coordinator for the National Programme for the Early Detection of the Cervical Cancer in Zagreb, she is responsible for the Health Statistical Surveys and is chair of the Divison for Outpatient Health Care. She has authored or coauthored many scientific and professional articles, and has participated in many national and international medical convention. SABIT SINAN OZALP, Turkey He is professor, ob/gyn and the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Osmangazi University of Eskisehir, Turkey. He has authored or co-authored 411 journal articles, books, book chapters and review articles. He is the member of several national and international societies. Since 1998, he has been a Board member, and since 2014, he has ben an Internal Scientific Committee member of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). He has 35 years’ experience related to women’s health. During the last 10 years, he has focused more on adolescence and issues related to adolescent health, as well as gender issues and violence against women. He is the founder and director of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Youth Friendly Center. He has received four awards related to family planning and reproductive health in Turkey DOROTEJA PAVAN JUKIĆ, Croatia She is assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University in Osijek, Croatia. She is an ob/gyn, and IVF specialist in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Clinical Hospital Merkur in Zagreb, Croatia. She actively participates in young doctors and other medicil staff education. BOJANA PINTER, Slovenia She is professor and ob/gyn in the Department of Gynecology at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her main areas of interest are contraception, sexual behaviour in adolescents, infertility and assisted reproduction. Since 1994, she has been a Board member od the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). MARIJA POSAVEC, Croatia She is specialist of school medicine and is the Head of the Division for Youngs in the Department for School Medicine in Educational Institute for Public Health “Dr. Andrija Štampar” in Zagreb, Croatia. She works in Service for Reproductive Health in the Division for Youngs. Her main interests are risky behaviour amoung young people, risk factors and prevention. She is educated for reality therapy psychotherapist. URELIJA RODIN, Croatia She is assistant professor, specialist of public health and the Head of the Department for Monitoring the Health of the Vulnerable Age Groups at the Croatian Institute for Public Health. She participates in the education of the medical students and in the continuing medical education of professionals in Croatia. She participates in many research projects, including a project in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) for South-East Europe “Improvement of Maternal and Neonatal Care”, in 20062010. SAM ROWLANDS, United Kingdom He is Clinical Lead in community sexual and reproductive health in Bournemouth, UK, a visiting professor at the School of Health and Social Care, Bournemouth University, Chair of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health care Clinical Effectiveness Committee and coordinator of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC) Expert Group on abortion. He is responsible for a National Health Service Early Medical Abortion service. He has had more than 70 papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has written on day care abortion (this was new in 1974), central booking services for abortion, more than one abortion, abortion decision-making, misinformation about abortion, self-use of abortion pills, comparative abortion law and policing of abortion. He maintains a Table of abortion laws around the world. He has edited a book entitled “Abortion Care” that was published by Cambridge University Press in August 2014. MARY SHORT, Ireland She is MD in the Rock Court Medical Center in Dublin, Ireland. She is the Chair of the Irish Association of Sexual and Reproductive Health Care, a reviewer for the European Journal of Contraception and Reproductive Health Care and is certified for LARC education. She is a member of The Fertility Control Club, and since 2012, she has been a Board member of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). VESNA STEPANIĆ, Croatia She has a PhD and is an ob/gyn in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics in Clinical Hospital Merkur in Zagreb, Croatia. She has extensive clinical experience, particularly in the field of general gynecology, preventive gynecology, contraception and gynecologic oncology. She is a member of the Expert Group on Abortion and a member of the Webmaster Committee of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health (ESC). She is organizer and president of the First International Symposium on “Avoiding unwanted pregnancies”. ANDREJA ŠTOLFA GRUNTAR, Slovenia GORKA VULETIĆ, Croatia She is professor and psychologist at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University in Osijek, Croatia. Her main areas of interest are quality of life and health, health psychology and public health research. She is chair of the international project in collaboration with Australian researchers, „International collaboration workshop for strengthening quality of life and health research resources in Croatia“.
