GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN QUALITY/ CHANGE

INTERNSHIP PROJECT (6-12 months)
GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN QUALITY/ CHANGE CONTROL PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
At Biogen, we are working every day to become the world’s best science-driven biotechnology company. It takes
great talent to discover, develop and deliver new therapeutics that lead to a meaningful improvement in the lives
of patients. Biogen Idec believes that much of that great talent can be developed from within our own
organization.
We offer students the opportunity to come inside the doors of one of the largest biotech companies in the world
and learn first-hand how teamwork, collaboration and commitment to providing the best service to our patients
have helped drive our Company's success. Through hands-on work experience, we offer a supportive,
collaborative, teaching environment aimed at developing our Interns' skills and identifying their career goals.
Global Supply Chain Quality (SCQ) ensures the availability of safe and effective medicines that meet or exceed patient
requirements worldwide. SCQ collaborates internally at Biogen Idec and also serves as a direct liaison with our external
manufacturing partners to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain, while maintaining a commitment to quality and
safety. SCQ is also responsible for activities such as transferring and validating processes to third party manufacturers,
managing the performances of these manufacturers, assuring product life cycle management and other changes are
managed in a safe way and according to regulations, investigating manufacturing discrepancies, performing batch review,
and release of product. Additionally, we are responsible for management of the Quality System implemented at the Zug
site, as well as leading process improvements of these systems, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
