Deltamune (Pty) Ltd is a South African based biotechnology company focusing on veterinary & public
health solutions, mainly for the production animal health sectors. The company offers world-class veterinary
& laboratory services. The company invites applications for the following permanent position, based in our
Centurion Office.
Human Capital Specialist
We are seeking a motivated, hardworking, team orientated individual to be accountable for the
development, management and execution of HR services across the HR value chain for Deltamune.
This role is responsible for:



Being a business player that contributes to the overall success of the business;
HR Business Partner that provides strategic and functional expertise and direction and integrated
people solutions;
Providing consultative and advisory services that enables business performance
The incumbent must be an experienced Human Resources (HR) professional, providing strategic vision,
leadership, and management of this function including oversee Human Resources and its staff.
Areas of responsibility shall include but not be limited to; Workforce Diversity, Regulatory Challenges, Job
Design, Job Analysis, Recruitment & Selection, Performance Management, Training & Development,
Compensation & Benefits, Personnel & Payroll, HR Information Systems, Health & Safety, Labour Relations
and Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment.
Key Accountabilities
1. Lead the Setting and Measurement of the Company's Human Capital Strategy

Understands the needs of the business, analyses existing business
performance and co-develops appropriate plans for business
improvement
Benchmark, design, develop and implement HR strategy to support,
improve and strengthen the Human Resources department and service to
its employees
Set the annual strategic plan in consultation with the company's exco,
leadership and business and service units, for approval by the board;
Set the annual budget for the Human Capital Service Unit;
Establishes HR departmental goals to ensure that all subordinates have
clear, current and measurable goals
Report on the achievement of the plan at relevant levels, including to the
board and human capital committee;
Ensure the strategy explores best practice standards to enable the
company to deliver on its strategy plan through having an effective
team

functional processes, interventions and projects, across the HR value
chain, and in an effective and efficient manner

Person Specification and Selection Criteria
Essential Knowledge / Experience:






Ten years’ experience in human resource management;
Team leadership;
Direct experience in project management and business plans;
Ability to read, analyse and interpret financial, human resources and legal documents;
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or business
community; and
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of
directors.

Qualifications:



Graduate degree and relevant HR qualifications
At least ten years’ experience in Human Resources Management.
Track record of successful managing human resources delivery
