LAST OFFICIAL NEWSLETTER OF THE SEASON
Celtic Spring Concert Week
Annual Meeting and Potluck
Reality TV comes to Eugene!
The Willis Clan will be appearing in a reality TV series
on TLC called “The Willis Family,” and their film crew is
following their activities in Eugene.
The Eugene Concert Choir may be on national
television!
Figure 8 Films has been in communication with us
regarding filming of our rehearsals and performance with
the Willis Clan. We will need everyone to sign a release
to be filmed. Please write on the release forms any special
concerns you have about filming.
The first episode of the “Willis Family” will air on May
5, and our episode would air some time in June.
The ECC/EVA annual meeting and potluck dinner
will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 pm at Emmaus
Lutheran Church, 18th and Polk. All choir members and
their spouses/significant others are invited to celebrate
our accomplishments, acknowledge our volunteers, share
good food and good company, and vote on our board of
directors. We do it as a complete “pot-luck” and ask you
to bring a dish or beverage to share and your own place
setting. Diane plans to show the video of our Choral
Ballet Tribute to Juan Carlos at the conclusion of the
dinner and meeting.

Marketing Matters
VERY EXCITING NEWS that we have Figure 8
Films, the traveling film crew on the ground for TLC’s
new reality show, “The Willis Family,” here with us
shooting this week.
This is unbelievable exposure for the Concert Choir.
We are very fortunate for this opportunity. I’ve been
working with Brenda and Toby Willis and a number of
local media to arrange press events for the Willis Clan
members all day on Friday.
Spread the word and tune in to hear them interview and
perform LIVE on Friday, April 24th at:
• KPNW 1120 AM at 8 am
• KRVM 91.9 FM at 1 pm
• KLCC 89.7 FM at 2:40 pm
• More to come!
Tickets for Celtic Spring and the Kids Concert continue
to sell, though we’d love to double (or even sell out!)
these outstanding performances. Please read how YOU
can help!
How YOU can help this week: Celtic Spring
1. It’s official! The Willis Clan is going to star on a
new reality TV series on TLC that premieres on Tuesday,
May 5. You can share the awesome news with someone
you know either in conversation, on Facebook, email etc.
The Willis Clan may be coming to your living room, but
first they are coming to Eugene! Encourage everyone to
come and enjoy.
2. Know anyone with kids? Grandkids? Nieces
or nephews? Or maybe a teacher who works with
elementary age kids? Share with them that if 8 pm is
too late and/or a regular concert is too long – they don’t
have to miss the Willis Clan! Share that we have a
1-hour family concert, Celtic Spring for Kids, at 11 am
on Saturday, April 25th. We’ll even have arts and crafts
activities in the lobby at
10:30 am! Tickets are a steal at $5/Kid, $10/Adult and a
Family 4-pack at just $20!

Pearwood Pipers Need a Soprano
Bruce Cooley, former member of ECC and EVA, sings
in a Renaissance group called the Pearwood Pipers. They
are looking to replace their soprano who is on a temporary
maternity leave. They do two faires--Canterbury near
Salem in late July and Shrewsbury near Philomath in
mid-September. A flier is available at rehearsal for anyone
interested in this singing opportunity.
