Explore & Develop Castlereagh Street, Sydney is excited to announce that we are looking for
dedicated and passionate Diploma & Certificate III educators for our brand new 77 place Early
Childhood Education and Care Service. This service will be dynamic, modern, highly resourced and
very committed to providing high quality education and care for all children and support for their
families. We aim to provide an environment where everyone experiences a sense of belonging. We see
relationships as crucial to a sense of belonging and we aim to develop secure, respectful relationships
within our community. The service is anticipated to open in late May 2015.
In collaboration with your team, you will be planning and implementing the educational program,
guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, current approaches, theories and research in early
childhood education. The program will encourage children to become active learners through a playbased curriculum that encourages thinking, investigating, exploring and problem solving in a social
environment.
Essential qualifications for the role will include:

Diploma or Cert III in Children’s Services (ACECQA Approved). Please note if you are working
towards either of these qualifications you are encouraged to apply.

Current Approved Working With Children Check.

Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate/s (ACECQA Approved) or be willing to
obtain

Current Child Protection Training (DEC approved) is desirable.
The attributes that you need to possess to be successful in this role are:

An understanding of the National Quality Framework which includes government regulations,
the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework.

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

Enthusiastic, motivated, professional, flexible and reliable.

Ability to form and maintain respectful relationships with families and children and foster a
community spirit.

A passion for developing, planning and implementing an innovative educational program with
a commitment to inclusive early childhood practice and social justice.

Demonstrated ability to work with a passionate, committed and highly driven team of
educators that creates a positive, supportive and educational environment.


conferences and team networking are provided).
