Beginners wil l learn how to sew Holiday pillowcase s and advanced campers will lea rn how to make a 50”x76”disappeari ng nine patch quilt. Basic sewing skills required for all 4-H ca mpers. Dates, Times, & Location: Multipurpose room of the Cache County Admin. building, 179 N. Main, Suite 109, Logan Session 1—June 22-24 June 22 – Beginners / 10:00 am to 4:00 pm June 23 & 24 - Advanced / 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Session 2—July 7-9 July 7 – Beginners / 10:00 am to 4:00 pm July 8 & 9 - Advanced / 10:00 am to 4:00 pm *Adult/Volunteer sewing helpers will need to attend precamp meeting on June 15 or 29, 2015 from 10 am -12 pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Cache County Admin. Building, 179 North Main, Logan. We will be handing out the supply list and going over the projects. Out of respect for the hearing impaired, classroom space, others attending the pre-camp meeting and workshop, no babies and/or children other than those registered campers will be permitted. Projects: Beginners (1 day) $3 wcases Making holiday pillo Advanced (2 days) $5 Making a nine 50”x76”disappearing patch quilt. mpers Limited to only 20 ca per workshop! Each camper will need to have their own sewing machine, basic sewing kit, fabric, thread, and lunch. Advanced class will also need to provide their batting. We will be tying the quilts at camp and yarn will be provided (limited colors). Supply list will be available at the 4-H office. All campers will need to have an adult/volunteer with them at camp who knows how to sew. Snacks will be provided. You will need to register online at: https://ut.4honline.com and choose the session you plan on attending. If you are not a current 4-H member, there will be an additional $5 fee. (This is a suggestion- you can have however many different colors of fabric you would like, as long as they come to 4.5 yards total). For example, with 9 coordinating fabrics you could do one contrasting color (brown), four similar neutral colors (off-white), two similar greens, and two similar pinks. This is what was used for the sample quilt. 4 yards of fabric for the quilt back & border Twin-sized batting (the quilt is too long to use a crib-size) Matching thread BeginnersPillowcase Supplies: (You will be making 3 pillowcases) You will need these supplies for each pillowcase: 3/4 yard fabric for the body of the pillowcase 1/3 yard fabric for the cuff of the pillowcase 1/8 yard fabric for the accent strip on the pillowcase Matching thread
