Linear Functions, Absolute Values, Inequalities 2. Systems of Equations, Matrices, Cramer’s Rule 3. Polynomials, Rational Functions, Radical Expressions 4. Exponents & Logarithms Course Work: All homework assignments, quizzes & tests will be completed in MyMathLab. Midterm and Final Exams will be taken In‐Class. You’ll need internet (home/college) access outside of regular class meetings and an email account. Class meetings will consist of lecture, examples, discussion, and review. Group study is always encouraged, however you must do your own work on any tests and exams. It is highly recommended that you maintain a notebook of class lectures and of all the written work/solution steps needed to solve the problem. I will try to supplement my lectures by posting sample worked‐out problems in the web folder; however, I will not post any lectures online. YOU MUST BE IN CLASS & TAKE YOUR OWN NOTES. To the following standard: Use factoring techniques to simplify, find all the values that make the expression undefined, evaluate the expression for given values of variables. As measured by the following method: Random samples of student work product are collected to be assessed by a committee of faculty from the department. As scored by the following rubric: Exemplary: The student is able to satisfy all of the criteria. Acceptable: The student solves the problem, reduces & simplifies the result. Unacceptable: The student unable to solve the problem.
