2014 STINNE GORELL FASHION High quality and raw, yet classic expression characterizes all STINNE GORELL collections. The vision of this collection is to create products that pave the way for many functions and combinations and infuse the products with a long lifespan. The shades are a combination of soft and natural, colorful and classic with an appeal to a wide target group. LOCAL PRODUCTION All hand knitted products are made by women in private homes all over Denmark. In larger cities or islands groups of women is having monthly meetings with designer and owner Stinne Gorell. Wool changes hands, the women receive the yarn and deliver the ready-made products. It limits the shipments and most importantly it expands the social network and the feeling of responsibility and affiliation for the women. FAIRTRADE All machine knitted products are made in Bolivia by a Danish owned FAIRTRADE certified company. We only use fur for tassels from free-range highland alpacas, died of natural causes. FUTURE In the endeavors to be responsible, together with contributing to the well-being of the Earth and its human beings, the manufacturers are chosen with care, and the visions for the future working processes are growing. Furthermore we support the Danish relief organization “Bygenskole.dk” that employs local labor force to build new schools in the rural districts in Guatemala. RETAILER It is of high importance to the STINNE GORELL brand that a continuous contact with the individual retailer is maintained, that there are options for small orders, and that the retailer’s customers, requirements, and other brands are respected and appreciated. Therefore the amount is limited, but chosen with care. As Paulo Coelho said in The Alchemist ”People are capable, at any time in their lives, of doing what they dream of” It has sometimes been challenging, sometimes hard but mostly it has been fun.
