Lighthouse Mission Ministries We invite you to our upcoming Donor
Reception! The evening will start with tasty hors d'oeuvres and a beautiful view
of Bellingham Bay. We'll hear from our Guest Speaker Jason Nightingale of
Wordsower International, he will be speaking on 'The Cause....' from the letter of
Paul to the Philippians. We'll also hear guest testimonies and Executive Director

Pregnancy Choices has an exciting event planned for Saturday,
May 9th, Mother’s Day Weekend. Run For Your Mum is a fundraising event
honoring moms. It is a 5K run or 2 mile walk benefitting Pregnancy Choices.
Runners and walkers can either raise pledges or pay a small entrance fee for
those ages 13 and up. Register at RunForYourMum.com where you can find all

Skagit Valley Youth Dynamics presents a Night of comedy and a
dinner fundraiser with “The Panic Squad” This is fresh, clean,
funny-improve comedy on a mission! It will be held at Emmanuel
Baptist Church (1515 East College Way in Mount Vernon) on Monday, April 27.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $25.00. Buy

younger.

Growing the Church in the Power of the Holy Spirit Conference:
This conference is co-sponsored by Home Missions and Dunamis Fellowship
Canada. The event will provide leaders and churches the opportunity to explore
practical ways to discern and cooperate with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Taught from a Reformed perspective, this conference is designed to encourage,
refresh and challenge all who attend. It will be held from June 1-4 at the
Rosemary Heights Retreat Centre in Surrey, British Columbia. For more info and

A Warm Welcome to all who are worshipping with us today. If you are a
visitor or new to our church, please take a moment to fill out a visitor’s card
when the prayer clipboards are passed around and place it in the offering
basket.
A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers through age 3, located in the
hallway of the entryway.
Prayer Clipboards During the offering, we ask that the prayer
clipboards be passed around. There are three sections of chairs for seating
and three clipboards, please keep the clipboard in your section as you pass it
around.
Children’s Bulletins are available on the table by the door in the entry way
for the younger children.
Children and Worship for children ages 3—K . They are dismissed during our
worship service for a time of worship at their age level. Watch for the yellow
banner during the offering time.
WORSHIP NOTES
CONGREGATIONAL LIFE
This morning We pray for God’s blessing on us as Pastor Alvin Vander Griend
brings us the message from God’s word. Next week Pastor Randy Beumer
from the Oak Harbor Christian Reformed church will be our guest pastor.
Faith Fellowship bids a sad farewell to John and Marian Orange, who will be
moving to Zillah, Washington the end of this month. Following our service
we will have a farewell cake for them. We pray God’s blessing on their
future. Their new address is P.O. Box 1574, Zillah, WA 98953. Cell phones
are the same numbers.
Next Sunday, we will celebrate the sacrament of communion. Take
some time this week to prepare yourself as we remember the grace
and mercy we receive because of our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross for
us. He invites children and adults, all who love him and trust in him
alone for their salvation to sit with him and share in this joyful feast.
From the Council: At our May 17th congregational meeting we will select
new Elders and Deacons. Elder nominees for 1 position and 1 alternate:
Chris Brandon, LeRoy Schloemer, Chris Ledeboer. Deacon nominees
for 1 position and 1 alternate: Juanita Gilfrey, Christy Ledeboer, Robert
Olea, Stacy Olea, Jewel Schloemer, Alvin Shim, Denise Skelton.
Brian Hofman, our summer seminarian and his wife Tess, will be here for
10 weeks from early June to mid August. We have the responsibility to
provide separate housing for this couple while they are here. Contact an
elder if you can help or know of housing available
This week: the board of Northwest Hispanic Ministry invites you
come and enjoy a good meal and listen as Pastor Joe Strong shares
about how God is changing lives and building His kingdom here in
Western Washington. April 24th at 6:00 p.m. First Christian
Reformed Church,701 W. Blackburn Rd., Mt. Vernon and April 25th
at 5:00 p.m. at Third Christian Reformed Church in Lynden. No
reservations needed. Bring a friend. You will not be disappointed.
The Missions Team has assigned all the members of Faith to be a
part of our prayer ministry for our missionaries and the ministries
we support. If you do not wish to be included, or if you need to
change a week that you have been assigned, please contact the
office or Ken Davis.

Concerns and praises within our family at Faith
Continued prayer for:
- Pray for healing in family relationships, for family members who have drifted,
that they may return to the Lord and for friends to come to Christ.
- Pray for those we love to come to the Lord.
- Pray for our youth to make right choices in their lives and pray for those who
are making wrong choices that God will lead them to make a commitment to
Christ.
- Prayer for a struggling marriages.
- Pray that we as a congregation will listen to God’s “nudges” and minister to
those in our midst who need extra love and attention.
- Pray for wisdom and patience as we wait for Your leadership and lead us to
opportunities to witness for You.
- Pray for our council as they lead our church and make decisions that honor
You and for the search committee as they search for FCF’s new pastor.
Special Prayer Requests:
- Continued prayer for Sienne Ackermann, Larry VanderPol, for Buser’s son-inlaw Matt and for Ann Vanderwal as they are receiving chemo treatments.
And for Greg Ackermann as he heals from spine surgery.
- Pray for Elaine Parker as she deals with side effects from her leukemia
treatments
- Pray for our assigned summer seminarian, Brian and Tess Hofman as they
prepare to come minister with us and for all the arrangements to come
together for housing.
- Pray for the South family as they try to resolve some medical issues, pray for
wisdom for the doctors. Pray for Catherine’s health as she is expecting a baby
in July.
-Pray for Petra’s daughter Beverly who is expecting a baby, for her safety and
health.
- Pray for Antony Barasa as he unites in marriage in Kenya on April 25th.
- Pray for the grandfather of Matthew Cheney who has last stage cancer, pray
that he may have an open heart to the message of salvation.
- Pray for a work situation that isn’t good; either to be able to change things or
for another job to become available.
- Pray for our children that they will be able to witness to their friends.
- Pray for the Tebb family as Mark has a job in Tacoma and wisdom for them
as they consider plans to move there.
Praise for:
- Praise God for His promises and faithfulness to us.
- Praising God for the power of prayer and for faithful prayer partners.
- Praise of thanks that Amber Korneliessen back in the states. Continue prayer
for complete healing from her attack in Paris.
- Praise for Bob Smith’s recent report of no new spine fistula’s.
