“I did it, Papaw!” Suddenly, everyone in the restaurant was
aware that my grandson finished connecting-the-dots on the
puzzle on the menu. We were both proud! Connecting the dots
happens daily at Faith Mission and Faith Refuge. For some, we
simply provide safe shelter so they don’t sleep on the streets.
For others, it is a hearty meal and a clean set of clothes. For
many, it’s the new life they find in Christ. Let me offer you a
glimpse of the connections that you help make possible.

Tommy and his family thought they were just
coming to Wichita Falls from El Paso for a fresh
start. They planned to stay at Faith Mission while
seeking employment and Tommy hoped to pursue
a degree in counseling at a local university. They
found much more! Tommy and son, Aiden, age
12, invited Christ into their lives at Faith Mission
the second day they arrived. Enthused by their
decisions, wife, Naomi, and daughter, Iris, age 10,
invited Christ into their lives at the Nick Vujicic
event at the MPEC the next Sunday. Naomi started
working as a prep cook at a restaurant and the
family is overjoyed as they prepare to become selfsufficient.
Bless the Homeless
make an impact today,
Ashley was facing 47 years in prison for multiple
charges of criminal activity. While awaiting transfer
from jail to prison, she prayed for forgiveness
from the Lord and asked Jesus Christ into her life.
She believes that fervent prayer and God’s mercy
resulted in her release on a technicality one week
later! She immediately and voluntarily entered the
New Beginnings Recovery Program at Faith Refuge
and became one of its first graduates. Similarly,
Shawn found help in the recovery program at Faith
Mission. He now works in the oil field to support
their daughter, Valerie, and their growing family.
They are finding encouragement and love through a
local church.
