FROM MR HILL….If any students is interested in attending a Spanish
concert on Thursday April 23 from 9:30-12:30, please see Mr. Hill as soon as
possible.
Last call for students interested in the Spanish Honor Society please see Mr.
Hill.
Reminder to students: The Fairchild Memorial, Glenn Garrison and
Clare Rotary Scholarships are due TODAY. Please check all deadlines
for scholarships with Mrs. Rohdy. Many scholarships are available to
graduating seniors, don’t miss out.
Please support the class of 2017 by purchasing a bracelet. They are displayed
in the office, they are $15 and would make a great gift.
Spring athletic pictures are tomorrow. Check with your coach for a picture
packet and scheduled time for pictures.
Spring athletic physicals are scheduled for Thursday May 28 from 6-8 pm in
the new gym. Physicals are $10 and will cover you for all of next year for
sports.
TODAY is the last day to order a yearbook. See Mrs. Rohdy if you still wish to
order one.
Friday April 24 is a ½ day for students. Students will be dismissed at
noon.
April 22- all students will be taking the M-step test. Juniors have been
split into groups for testing. Please see the lists posted in the hallways
so you know where to report.

FINANCIAL AID REMINDER: The State of Michigan deadline for filing the FAFSA was March 1. If you have NOT
filed already, you are LATE. Please complete this process a.s.a.p. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov. You and a
parent/guardian will also need a PIN number for your electronic signature. The link is www.pin.ed.gov

Peter Pasula Study Habits Scholarship: Deadline April 1, 2015 (complete online)
 This $500 national scholarship is for graduating seniors attending college in the fall 2015.

LOCAL - Notice for MMCC Students: The MMCC STARS Scholarship Web APP is open until April 1 for students to apply for the
2015-16 MMCC scholarships (Fall 2015 & Winter 2016). As in the past, applications need to be submitted by April 1st for
consideration. Students can access the STARS APP by clicking on the link on the MMCC financial aid page at
www.midmich.edu/finaid.
NEW - LOCAL : Central Michigan Manufacturers Association Scholarships: Deadline April 24, 2015 (application available online).
 Up to two $1500 scholarships are awarded annually
 Applicant must be an employee (or direct family member of an employee) of a CMMA member company.
 Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school located in Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot or Isabella County.
 Applicant must have maintained a 2.5 GPA or better.
 Applicant must be planning to become enrolled, or currently enrolled, in an advanced (post-high school) degree, including
vocational programs, trade school, or licensed apprenticeship program.
 Applicant must demonstrate how the program in which he or she intends to enroll relates to the CMMA mission of
promoting manufacturing.

 This $500 national scholarship is available to graduating seniors attending college, trade, or technical school in fall of 2015.

 This is a $500 national scholarship for applicants between the ages of 14-25 who will be attending school in the fall of 2015.

Lifestyle Dentistry Scholarship: Deadline June 30, 2015 (complete online)
 This $1000 scholarship is for students attending college no later than Sept. 30, 2015. Current high school seniors who will
graduate in 2015 are eligible. You can enroll in any field of study.

 Must have a 2.5 gpa or greater.

Are You Eligible for the State of Michigan Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)?
 Did the student have Medicaid coverage for 24 months within any 36 consecutive month period as
identified by the Michigan Dept. of Human Services (DHS)? TIP eligibility can begin as early as age
12?
 If so, contact the office of Student Scholarships and Grants (SSG) before graduation from high school to
complete and return the necessary forms. Students MUST GRADUATE or obtain a GED before their
20th birthday.
 In order to be certified, the SSG will send an “eligibility letter” to the student during their senior year of
high school. The student MUST PRESENT THIS LETTER TO THEIR COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID
OFFICE upon enrollment to receive payment from TIP. The student is responsible for notifying SSG of
a change in their college choice.
 Any potentially eligible senior who has NOT received an eligibility letter this year should call the SSG
