This form is to be used by local and international students enrolled in or offered a place in a graduate program offered by Melbourne Business
School who wish to gain credit from subjects based on prior study.
This form can be used to apply for credit or exemption for up to four (4) subjects.

the MBS@The Spot Student Centre:

Application deadlines:
Students who are applying for credit or exemption for the
commencing semester must submit their application form
by 5pm Friday of the first week of semester.

6. Supporting Documentation
An original or certified copy of your academic transcript,
including a key to results (if subject not completed at
The University of Melbourne).
A detailed subject description from the year the subject
was completed. This should be from the University
Handbook or subject outline and must include
information about the assessment of the subject, contact
hours and credit points (not required for subjects
completed
at
the
University
of
Melbourne).

documentation will not be considered.
Please note:

Credit will only be granted for study completed at a
comparable level (graduate or postgraduate level)

If credit is granted students will not be required to
replace the subject with an elective

Exemption can be granted for study completed at
an undergraduate level, and the exempted subject
must be replaced with an approved elective
subject

Exemption will not be granted for elective subjects

No credit or exemption will be granted based on
work experience

Prior studies must have been completed within 10
years of application for credit or exemption
