Armenian piano sensation Tigran Hamasyan belongs to
the most exciting pianists of the current decade. Herbie
Hancock, Chick Corea or Brad Mehldau are fervent
supporters. His new project in trio can be described as
a terrific “electro-acoustic Armenian rock trio” going from
jazz, classical music to Armenian popular and sacred
repertoire with an electronic and indie rock twist.
This top guitarist has been called the shooting star
of the jazz scene by Germany’s most important jazz
magazine “Jazzthing” some time ago. But Torsten
Goods is much more than that: With his last and
now fifth album „Love Comes to Town“ (2013, ACT)
he has evolved to being an integral part of German
and, increasingly, European jazz landscape.
