ABOUT AN EVENING OF HOPE
Fertile Future will host “An Evening of Hope” in the Uber Lounge at Steamworks, a historic Gastown
brew pub. Steamworks is the only steam generated brewery in Canada and their Uber Lounge is
one of Vancouver’s most surprising rooms.
In this unique environment overlooking the North Shore Mountains and Canada Place professional
sommeliers will be on hand to ensure that guests have a memorable evening. Along with friends
and colleagues, guests will sample a selection of wines and craft beers paired with gourmet cuisine.
The evening will also include a jazz trio, a silent auction, raffle, and honouree awards.

ABOUT FERTILE FUTURE
A LETTER FROM AN EVENING OF HOPE CO-CHAIR
Fertile Future is a Canadian national non-profit organization that provides fertility preservation
information and support services to cancer patients and oncology professionals. Each year, an
estimated 10,000 young Canadians face a cancer diagnosis. Approximately 8,000 of them will win
this battle. Without knowing the importance of fertility preservation prior to their treatment, many
are left infertile with few options. Fertile Future aspires to change this reality for cancer patients. Our
mission is to inform, educate and support cancer patients who are facing fertility-risking medical
treatment, and oncology professionals who are providing this care.
“An Evening of Hope” was launched in Toronto in 2012 and has become an annual event to
support the Power of Hope Program. The event was launched in Ottawa in 2014 and will be held
once again in 2015. This year we are proud to bring An Evening of Hope to Vancouver in April of
2015. We hope to continue its success, with a unique evening of food, drink, and laughter.
I am delighted to be part of the first Evening of Hope event in Western Canada and we are very
excited to extend the reach of Fertile Future’s events westward. I am confident that the Vancouver
community can make this a memorable evening, one which will give so much to young cancer
