SUMMER SEMESTER FINANCIAL AID REQUEST
2014-2015
IMPORTANT SUMMER 14-15 INFORMATION:
1. The Summer Semester Financial Aid Request form is required to be considered for
Summer Term financial aid.
2. To receive Summer financial aid, students must be meeting the conditions of McMurry
University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy (SAP).
 If a student has been awarded summer aid and does not make SAP at the end of
the Spring semester, Summer awards will be cancelled.
3. Award eligibility is based upon each student’s remaining annual limits for grants and
loans.
 If the student has received the maximum grant and/or loan eligibility for the Fall
and Spring semesters, there may not be any remaining eligibility for Summer.
4. Dropped courses and withdrawals may result in a reduction or cancellation of Summer
awards or a repayment of funds already disbursed. Summer aid recipients should
contact the financial aid office and speak to a counselor prior to altering summer
schedules.
Total enrolled hours for all three summer sessions are used for determining disbursements.
FEDERAL DIRECT LOAN ELIGIBILITY
Your eligibility for a Federal Direct Loan for a summer session is contingent upon the federal
loan limits based on credit hour completion. The Summer term is still considered part of the
2014 – 2015 academic year. Therefore, you cannot receive more than the federal loan limits
denoted below for the Fall, Spring and Summer cumulatively.
