Osterley is one of the last surviving country estates in
greater London. Once described by Thomas Walpole
as ‘the palace of palaces’, it was created in the late
18th century by architect and designer Robert Adams.
You still enter today via the impressive stone steps to
the portico. After viewing the house, stroll through
the formal gardens and admire the colourful
herbaceous borders, roses, ornamental vegetable
beds and original summer house.
