employees on the need for retirement savings and investment, provide information
on how to plan for retirement and how to calculate the retirement investment

The Florida Retirement System (FRS) will be conducting two free financial planning
workshops here at the GSB, Training Room 3 (Third Floor) on May 11th (Using the FRS
to Plan for Your Retirement) and May 13th (Nearing Retirement in the FRS) from 4:30
pm – 6:00 pm. The presentations are 90 minutes and the presenters will be available
after the workshops for questions. The workshops are available to all FRS Agencies
and Members in the area with registration handled through the MyFRS Financial
Guidance Line via telephone or email. Registration is currently capped at 70
participations for each session, if you are interested, please register as soon as
possible.

Low-Income Schools for Teacher Cancellation Benefits.

all of your educational loan debt, provided you fulfill
certain work-related requirements.

Fingerprint/Background Checks for all
employees are required to be renewed
every 5 years.
For employees that received a fingerprint renewal
letter this school year, please submit the renewal fee
to Christine Higgs as soon as possible. If your
renewal date was prior to February 1, 2015, the
renewal fee is $16.50. After February 1, 2015, the
fee is $14.75. Payment may be by check or money
order, made payable to Flagler County Public
Schools (FCPS).
