LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Applications for the following local scholarships will be accepted from March 6th through April 10th 2015. For these
scholarships, PLEASE use the generic application. You will only need to complete the application one time and will be
considered for any of the scholarships listed where you have placed a checkmark. Please make sure to turn in the entire
completed application at one time to the Guidance Office. Deadline:

_______FLUVANNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE/PAPA JOHN’S SCHOLARSHIP – These scholarships are available for students
planning to attend college after high school.
_______MAJORIE S. FARRAR SCHOLARSHIP – This scholarship is given to a senior who plans to continue their education and has
demonstrated good citizenship.
_______METHODIST MEN OF SALEM AND PALMYRA SCHOLARSHIP – This scholarship is given to one or more seniors who
desire to attend college.
_______PHIL BROWNING MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – given to seniors who have participated in athletics and displayed those
principals set forth by Coach Browning.
_______BCWH ARCHITECTS SCHOLARSHIP – given to a senior who plans to pursue a career in education.
_______FLUVANNA EDUCATION FOUNDATION – THE CELEBRATION OF TEACHING SCHOLARSHIP
Is a $1,000.00 scholarship awarded to a Fluvanna County High School student and funded by an anonymous donor. It is given to a student
whose aspiration is to continue his/her education to become a teacher.
_______FLUVANNA EDUCATION FOUNDATION COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
Is a $500.00 scholarship award to a Fluvanna County High School student who has volunteered a great deal of time to charitable
organizations while at the same time keeping up his/her grades and involving himself/herself in school activities. The recipient of this
scholarship will be eligible to apply for an additional $500.00 by maintaining a 3.0 grade point average during his or her first year of college.
_______FLUVANNA EDUCATION FOUNDATION CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Is a $500.00 scholarship award to a Fluvanna County High School student and funded by the FEF. It is given to a student who aspires to
continue his/her education in any field.
_______JOSEPH DUVALOIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Is giving out two (2) $500.00 scholarship awards to Fluvanna County High School students who aspires to continue his/her education in the
field of social studies. If there are no students interested in the social studies field these awards can be given to an outstanding football player.
_______FEF COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
A minimum amount of $250.00 is awarded to any graduating senior who has received an acceptance letter from an accredited two-year
college or technical school. The applicant must meet the guidelines set forth in the Eligibility Requirements.
_______FLUVANNA CAREER-TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP – This scholarship is awarded to a student planning on continuing their
education beyond high school. The recipient must have taken Career/Technical classes while a student at Fluvanna County High School.
