MEDIA INVITED TO CREATE THE ULTIMATE “ROGER ANDERSANDWICH”
at
FOOD TRUCK FRENZY KICK OFF CHALLENGE
Durham Region’s “Big Cheese” and “hams” come together for launch celebration
Organizers of the Rotary Club of Whitby’s Food Truck Frenzy invite media to participate in a fun food challenge to
celebrate the official kick off of this year’s campaign leading up to the delicious two-day event held May 9 and 10.
Participating media will pair with a child representative from one of this year’s event beneficiaries: Abilities Centre,
Epilepsy Durham, Feed the Need, Station Gallery, Their Opportunities and Whitby Library.
Each pair will race against the clock to select from random on-site ingredients that represent this year’s 25
participating food trucks and build the ultimate “Roger Andersandwich.” Pairs will be asked to explain (defend?)
their culinary choices to a judging panel led by the Regional Chair himself.
Media will then have the opportunity to taste some of this year’s Food Truck fare that will be available to the
expected 30,000+ guests at the Food Truck Frenzy.
