This is for grades 11-12 only. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the boundary school regarding tryouts, summer practice, etc.
Once the student makes the team a Multi-Site Enrollment form must be completed and submitted to FTHS prior to practice or play.

TA and Office Assistant assignments will be made from the pool of students who select these courses. Assignments are based on
teacher need and student availability; course selection and teacher signature do not guarantee placement.

Register on-line through Student Connect and return completed form to your counselor by Wednesday, 3/25/15,
or your classes will be chosen for you.
COURSE SELECTION: The Registration Guide is available on the Foothill website with a link under the “students” tab.
Once you have reviewed the course selections on the form and checked the Registration Guide online to ensure that you
meet the prerequisites, indicate your choices on your registration form. All math classes must be approved by your
current math instructor.
ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION
Students need their STUDENT CONNECT ID number and password. If you FORGOT or LOST it, the information is
available from Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Ellison in the Front Office.
1. Go to: http://www.venturausd.org/
2. Click on the Students & Parents tab, select Student Connection from the drop down menu.
3. Log on: input ID# and PASSWORD
4. In the upper left side of the screen, next to school – from the drop down menu select:
Foothill Technology High School (T foot 15/16, Grade __)
5. In the left margin, click on Requests
6. Click on Add/Delete requests
7. In Courses Offered box double click on each course requested; be sure you select courses for both semesters, i.e.
for a course with number 1121/22, you would select 1121 for semester 1 and 1122 for semester 2. Be sure to select
your primary electives online and write alternate electives on the paper form for your counselor.
8. Make an error? To delete a class, double click on “X” next to the class.
9. Sign out.
Once you have signed out, you may go back and modify your requests just as you did above. Students should be
sure to get signatures where required and to list all alternates by preference on the paper form.
After the online registration is complete, students must submit the completed course request form to their counselor. Be
sure that the form has all required signatures.

NEW - ATHLETICS AT FOOTHILL!
Beginning last school year, Foothill started an athletics program for our students. Foothill will offer Volleyball, Cross
Country, Tennis, Water Polo, Golf, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Track & Field, Swimming, and Softball. In accordance
with Title IX federal law, we will offer equal opportunities for both male and female athletes. During the 2015-16 school
year we will field varsity level teams, with some junior varsity levels as well. Foothill is a member of the Tri-County Athletic
Association and will participate in the Frontier League or Tri-Valley League, depending on the sport. Teams will play in
Divisions 4, 5, or 6, depending on the sport. The District is exploring the construction of new facilities for our program.
Foothill athletes will also practice and play at other high schools and middle schools in VUSD, as well as at Ventura
College (right across the street) and at City of Ventura facilities.
Eligibility:
 Students beginning with the Class of 2018 and each subsequent Class will play sports exclusively for Foothill.
 Students from the classes of 2016 and 2017, who have never played a sport for VHS or BHS, are immediately
eligible to play sports for FTHS or they may choose to play for BHS/VHS.
 Students from the classes of 2016 and 2017, who have played any level of sports for either BHS or VHS, may
continue to play for BHS/VHS for the duration of their high school careers.
 Students who have played any level of sports for either BHS or VHS are eligible to play sports for FTHS;
however the student will be subject to a 30-day Sit Out Period in each sport in which they competed in the last 12
months at another school.
 In order to be eligible, students must have achieved a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in all enrolled courses at the
conclusion of the previous grading period and must pass a minimum of 20 credits (4 classes) during each quarter
grading period.
