GENERAL Rules FLOWERCADE THEME: "Art in Bloom - As I see it" 1) All entries need to be accompanied by an entry tag, to include your Exhibitor’s Number. 2014 Exhibitors will receive their same #. ARS JUDGED CLASSES: In Oak Hall {Classes 1‐2 full court recognized} Class 1 Hybrid Tea/Grandiflora, Class 2 Floribunda Spray, {Classes 3‐6 best blue recognized} Class 3 Polyantha, Class 4 Seedlings, Class 5 Dowerger, Class 6 Victorian, {Classes 7‐8 full court recognized} Class 7 Miniature, Class 8 Mini‐flora {Classes 9‐16 ARRANGEMENTS best blue recognized} Class 9 Large line or line mass, Class10 Large Mass, Class11 Large Modern, Class12 Large Oriental, Class13 Mini line or line mass, Class14 Mini Mass, Class15 Mini Modern, Class16 Mini Oriental . ARS Rules: (more info in show schedule which is at fortworthrosesociety.org) 1) Each Exhibitor in each class 1‐8 may enter one of each (self grown) variety that meet the class description. 2) Class 9‐16 will be limited to I exhibit per exhibitor. 3) Sweepstake will be awarded for most blues and Best of Show from top blue of each ARS classes. 4) Judges will critic entries after lunch for those interested. Public Judged (classes 17‐21): 100 will vote by star for their favorite in each class. Classes 17‐20 each exhibitor in each class may enter one of each (self grown) variety that meet the class description. Classes 21 each exhibitor is limited to 2 (self grown) entries. Public Judged entry in a class with the most stars will be queen of the class, the next most King and the next most Princess. 5) Sweepstake will be awarded for most entries & FWRS will choose Best of Show from queens of classes. OTHER ITEMS: 1) RS members are encouraged to mingle with the public. Lunch will be provided for members present on 4/18 from 11:30 to 1:00. Side dishes to go with brisket are needed. The few non members eating with us will pay $5:00 each. 2) We will sell roses April 18 (10:00 – 5:00) & April 19 (12:00‐5:00) We will sell buds in vase pens (we could use the donations of blooms for the pens), rose bushes, etc and offer a children’s rose craft table. Those giving their E‐Mail will receive a copy or Rose Prose and one will receive 2015 FWRS membership. 3) Tour of the BG (4/18/15 at 10:00 for CR credit). Meet in Lecture Hall foyer. 4) A workshop “For the Love of Roses” will be offered in the greeting room on April 19 from 2:00‐3:30 lead by Dr. Larry Wiley. 5) We will give goody bags to new exhibitors, Public Judge and rose bush purchaser. Include: Rose Prose, EK list, “You Can Grow Roses ‐‐‐“, “All Roses in BG”, Pen & Pad, FWRS membership info. 6) We could use Ed. Rose Expo (Public Judged) will have the hall way south of Oak Hall.
The Conference room will be available for Rose Expo use 4/18/15 for judges & etc..
The grooming room will be available this year but not next year.
Dallas donated 12 Weeks 2015 Rose bushes to FWRS for trophies. I gave DRS 160 public entry/judging tags.
The Farmers Branch/Pam Smith creation Will be south of Oak Hall. Pam you are wonderfully involving the public in roses as we all should.
