We invite you to join the efforts of The Associate Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem
(NorthShore). Since our inception in 2003, The Associate Board has raised more than $600,000
providing leading-edge equipment, social support programs for premature infants and their
families and research projects. You can be a part of our amazing stories.
The Benefit, which will be held at the Auditorium Library at Roosevelt University on October 24,
2015, is an evening of cocktails, appetizers, live music, silent auction and more, attracting over
300 business, healthcare and community leaders from the North Shore and the greater Chicago
area. This event provides corporate partners the opportunity to participate at various levels of
sponsorship - receiving significant recognition before and during the event.
Funding received from this event supports programs and research as a part of the Infant Special
Care Unit and Department of Pediatrics at NorthShore Evanston Hospital. As in previous years, a
portion of the proceeds will once again be directed towards The Associate Board Emergency
Family Fund, which provides concrete assistance to families of children in the ISCU who are
struggling to actively parent their hospitalized infant due to severe economic difficulties.
Additionally, this year, we are proud to support a ground-breaking project entitled: The
Prediction of Risk of Peripartum Mood Disorders (PPMD). The new knowledge emerging from this
innovative study will lead to early identification and more tailored treatment of women affected
by PPMD, thereby preventing or at least minimizing the very well known negative impacts on
their young children. The use of cross-discipline collaboration, smart-phone technology and
genomic profiling make this project a picture of what the future of medicine holds. Join us.
