Trip Interruption (Available on all plans)
In the event of a breakdown which occurs more than 100 kilometres
from your home and results in a repair facility keeping your vehicle
overnight, we will pay or reimburse you for receipted motel and
restaurant expenses up to $100 (including tax) per day for a maximum
of 3 days. The total benefit per breakdown shall not exceed $300,
including tax.

repairs. Kia Protect Mechanical Breakdown Protection
(MBP) is an extended warranty product covering many
vehicle components that can potentially fail over time and
are costly to repair. Take control of the rising cost of future
mechanical repairs with Kia Protect MBP.
Kia Protect MBP offers the comfort of knowing that your
vehicle is protected should an unexpected covered
breakdown occur. Simply take your vehicle to any Kia
dealership in Canada or the continental United States and
our factory trained technicians will handle the rest. Your
protection plan can be customized with several coverage
levels, term lengths, deductibles, and claim limits for each
repair visit to ensure it is just right for you.

Each Kia Protect Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP) contract
comes with 24 Hour Roadside Assistance for the term you have
purchased. Here’s what is offered:

5 Star Plan
A maximum of $100 (including taxes) per occurrence shall apply to all
24 Hour Roadside Assistance coverage.
Supreme protection for total peace of mind. All components
are covered except for a select list of exclusions. Available on
all new, Certified Pre-Owned™ and used Kia vehicles.
4 Star Plan
Extensive coverage across the powertrain and many other
critical vehicle components that can be costly to repair. Available
on all new, Certified Pre-Owned™ and used Kia vehicles.

Car Rental Benefits (Available on all plans)
In the event of a covered breakdown you are entitled to rent a
replacement vehicle (from a licensed rental agency) while your vehicle is
being repaired. Coverage will be provided to you up to a maximum of
$50 per day (including tax) for each 8 labour hours to a maximum of
$200 for each repair visit. In addition, a maximum of 3 days rental
coverage will be provided for an engine or transmission parts delay.
Kia Canada Claim-Free Reward
3 Star Plan
Essential coverage for major powertrain components on your
new, Certified Pre-Owned™ or used Kia. Maximum coverage
limit of $4,000 per repair visit.
TRANSFERABLE (Available on all plans)
The balance of your Kia Protect MBP coverage can be fully transferred
to another private owner that purchases your Kia. With a transferable
warranty, the resale value of your Kia will be at its maximum. A
transfer fee may apply.
In addition to covering the cost of most major mechanical
failures, Kia Protect MBP is packed with additional benefits
such as 24 hour roadside assistance, a car rental allowance,
and a claim-free reward. 1 With protection throughout Canada
and the continental United States, you can rest assured
knowing that all covered repairs will be taken care of.
(Available on select 4 Star and 5 Star vehicle plans)
On select plans, in the event you have not filed any claims or received
any additional benefits during your contract term, Kia Protect will
provide you either a coupon for the total value of the contract purchased
for a new Kia Protect MBP contract or an issuing dealer store credit of up
to $2,000 or a refund cheque of up to $1,000.
Conditions apply with this reward. Please read the contract carefully to
ensure you qualify for this additional reward.
Deductible Waiver Benefit
(Available for Certified Pre-Owned vehicle plans only)
We shall provide you with the same deductible amount under your
Certified Pre-Owned™ vehicle warranty term as you have selected under
your Kia Protect MBP contract. In the event of a covered breakdown
under your Certified Pre-Owned™ vehicle warranty term we shall pay the
difference, if one exists, between your selected deductible under your
Kia Protect MBP contract and the amount you are required to pay for a
deductible for your Certified Pre-Owned™ vehicle warranty claim.
