Student Life Showcase
SFU offers more than 75 campus clubs and organizations. Stop by the JFK Student Center Lounge to engage in conversation with
faculty and students from campus organizations. We encourage you to ask questions about co-curricular offerings and research
opportunities.
Greek Life Showcase
Greek Life at Saint Francis University was first established on campus by the Franciscan Friars in the 1940s, making our Greek
Life community the oldest Greek system at any Catholic college in the US. Fraternities and Sororities provide endless
opportunities for scholastic achievement, leadership development, community service and outreach, philanthropic initiative,
spiritual development, and life-long fellowship. Greek Life plays a vital role in the development of students and the overall
student-life culture at Saint Francis University. The recognized Greek Life organizations represent the very best and brightest
student-leaders at Saint Francis University. Come and see why Greek Life at SFU is crafting a new tradition of social excellence!
Career Services: Helping You Go Far
Join members of Saint Francis University's Career Services Office as they share their philosophy on helping students reach their
career goals. Emphasis will be placed on services and programs that assist students with finding jobs in their career paths. The
session will also include information about aptitude assessments, resume assistance, mock interviews, graduate school advising,
job fairs, and student internships.
Life as a Division I Athlete
As a Division I University, athletics play a big role in the lives of many students. Join members of our athletic teams as they share
their stories with you. Our student athletes will offer you a candid look at what it’s like to compete on the field as well as the
classroom.
Living Like Francis
St. Francis of Assisi left us an abundance of clues on how to strive and thrive in the world today. His ideals serve as guiding
principles that are very much alive at Saint Francis University. Join us to learn more about our patron saint, how our students are
influenced by the lessons he taught us, and how we incorporate Franciscan values into daily life at Saint Francis University.
Parent to Parent (Parents Only)
Saint Francis University believes that parents are critical partners in their students’ educational experiences. We invite the parents
of prospective students to attend this session and speak with parents of current SFU students. The format of this session is Q&A
and designed to provide parents with a better understanding of the parental role in helping their student to embark on a successful
and enjoyable SFU experience.
Research: Your Breakthrough Awaits
Passion breeds inspiration, and Saint Francis University adheres to this tenet by providing avenues for students to engage in
research that interests and enriches their education. Join Dr. Balazs Hargittai as he discusses the professorial mentoring network
and explores how you will benefit from the many available research opportunities here at SFU. Finally, meet several students who
will share the experiences that have led them to produce professionally-recognized findings that contribute to their respective
fields.
SFU Student Life: Live. Laugh. Learn.
It is not an overstatement to suggest that Saint Francis University is home to one of the most dynamic and enriching student life
experiences in the nation. SFU students have amazing opportunities to get involved early and often within the University's
exciting co-curriculum. With dozens of clubs and organizations, a nationally recognized Greek Life program, an unmatched
student activities program, a strongly empowered Student Government Association, and a variety of high-impact leadership
development opportunities, there is so much to do at SFU! The advantages of the SFU student life experience provide our
graduates high-quality learning experiences that develop marketable skills that will impress potential employers and graduate
admissions offices alike! Some may be surprised to find so many options on such a small campus, but it's simply one of the
unique characteristics of an SFU education.
The World is Your Classroom
Our study aboard programming presents many opportunities for our students to gain an understanding and appreciation of our
global community, all while earning credit. Join us for an overview of these opportunities and hear students' stories of how
embracing the Franciscan value of a Global Vision through studying abroad has impacted their lives.
