Free Tibet is seeking an energetic fundraiser to join our London team. We are just starting to implement a
new three-year strategy and are looking for someone able to take on new initiatives as well as established
fundraising streams.
The successful applicant will take on a wide range of activities, including supporter care, the Free Tibet
shop, the annual raffle and community fundraising. S/he will also be involved in producing the magazine,
organising events, supporter communication and supporter data management. It will often be the case
that the Fundraiser will need to manage competing priorities, ensuring deadlines are met. S/he will also
manage the fundraising team’s volunteers.
Free Tibet
Our vision is a free Tibet in which Tibetans are able to determine their own future and the human rights of
all are respected. Free Tibet campaigns for an end to China's occupation of Tibet and for international
recognition of Tibetans' right to freedom. We mobilise active support for the Tibetan cause, champion
human rights and challenge those whose actions help sustain the occupation.
Free Tibet is a not-for-profit, UK-registered company and bound by Companies Act 2006. The UK Charity
Commission deems our activities as political and, therefore, we do not have charitable status.
Free Tibet’s income, approximately £400k per annum, is secured primarily through regular committed
giving (Direct Debits). Increasing the number of regular givers is currently a strategic priority. We are also
increasing our online income and plan for this to be a growth area. Our online shop already generates
more than 10% of our annual income.
