Working Poor
Common Front Annual General Assembly
Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Moncton
Dear members,
The Common Front for Social Justice’s Annual General Meeting will take place
Saturday May 30, 2015 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Moncton Lions
Community Centre, 473 St. George Street, in Moncton.
Our theme is Working Poor. We all know that there are thousands of workers who
have jobs but can’t make ends meet. This needs to change. We will address the issue
of the minimum wage and minimum standards, the Pay Day Loan industry and the
organizations who are opposing any changes in the workplace to help these workers
The Annual General Meeting will be a great opportunity to discuss measures needed
to ensure that the situation of the working poor changes.
During the members’ meeting in the afternoon, we will develop our Action Plan for the
coming year and elect the members who will make up the Provincial Council.
We encourage you to attend this very important meeting.
The registration form is enclosed. You must return it to us before May 22, 2015
If you need a place to stay, please contact us before May 10, 2015 by e-mail or by
phone at 506-855-8977. Also, we can help the persons who choose carpooling and
can make the round trip the same day by offering 30 cents a kilometre ($0.30/km), but
you will need to contact us in advance. We will not pay the kilometres when the person
is travelling alone.
We look forward to seeing you again on May 30, 2015, in Moncton.
Sincerely yours,
Chantal Landry, Provincial Secretary
