Irish Trip
September 15/23, 2015
Some of you might remember a few years back I ran a trip to Ireland and about 30 of us went. What a great time we had. Well it is
time again.
The tour is called “The 8 Day Irish Pubs & Folklore”. It is a CIE guided bus tour. We will be staying in all top shelf hotels. Most of
your meals are included and the additional tours along the way.
Our flight will leave from Newark Airport in the evening and we arrive in Dublin in the morning. We meet with a tour guide at the
airport and the tour begins. Last time we had a bus take us to Newark Airport from down here and that worked out fine. We will look
into that as we get closer to departing.
The total cost is $2684 per person for the trip and there are always taxes added. A $250 deposit is required to hold your reservation.
The balance can be paid off over time if you desire. This trip is open to everyone, friends, family, co-workers, whoever. There is a great
deal of information that you should read regarding this trip and I only have limited space here to include it. So get in touch with me;
[email protected]. I will send you all that I have. There is no obligation. Also there will be a meeting with the CIE rep down the
road to cover everything.
I hope you give it some thought and book the trip. It could be a lot of fun.
Thanks again,
Rich Carroll

Drums of
Shore
— May- 2015!
I thought ALL the band members, banner carriers and flag carriers did an outstanding job this parade
season! They all worked hard all year & did a spectacular job at all of our performances!
Looking forward: April and May are full of more band events including performances for the Autism
Fundraiser held at Spring Lake Manor, Wounded Warrior Fundraiser at the Headliner, The Purple Heart
dinner/award ceremony, The Annual FSOS Belmar Dinner/Dance, The Brady Fundraiser, Memorial Day
Parades in Bradley Beach and Manasquan where we will lead all of you to the memorial to honor our
military who sacrificed for our freedom!
As with any organization, growth is key to being successful in the long term. That said, WE ARE
PUTTING YOU (yes YOU) on the lookout for anyone you know that wants to learn to play. Learning how
to play bagpipes or drums is a great way to be involved with the band, club, your Irish Heritage and of
course to do something fun! NOW is the time to start learning! Stop by at a rehearsal to talk to us on
any Tuesday evening at the Ascension Church in Bradley Beach (in the gym), at 6:30pm for beginners
and 7pm for band members. If you already know how to play bagpipes or drums & want to join the
band, just head over to practice on a Tuesday evening and check us out. Our email is
[email protected] which can be accessed by visiting our website at
www.jspipesanddrums.com or talk to any band member for information.
