Cleaning Instructions for Turn.aido 2000
The waterproof/vapour-permeable covers can be wiped down using a
solution of neutral detergent and hot water applied with single use wipe
or can be laundered at 60˚C. Cleaning agents containing phenols and
alcohols should not be used. Cover: Fully waterproof vapour permeable
with inboard underneath zips to reduce the risk of body fluids ingress.
The cover may be sponged down with soap and water or removed for
laundering.

With Turn.aido 2000:-
Normally, an air replacement mattress’ pressure relieving efficiency is
compromised on a profiling bed when set up steeply:
a)The air cell level with the point of hinging and the buttocks tends to
be crowded out during its vacuumed phase by the neighbouring
pressurised air cells.
b)Compression forces between the shoulders and the thighs tend to
push the patient towards the foot board.
• Now one nurse on their own can smoothly turn a
person considerably heavier than themselves. This
also saves the time of waiting for a colleague to come
and assist.
• Turn.aido 2000’s rotational handling facility is always
ready for instant use. Time is no longer spent hunting
for other moving and handling equipment, then having
to get it in position before manoeuvring, and finally
removing it. Instead, since Turn.aido is easier to use,
your Minimal Lifting Policy is more likely to be
complied with.
However, Turn.aido 2000’s unique hinging mechanism enables the upper
mattress section to ride up the backrest, ensuring better pressure
relieving effectiveness (note distance ‘A’ and ‘C’, in pictures to right).

Turn.aido 2000 has a minimum of controls. Its
versatile and robust construction makes it an effective
choice:
As a form of repositioning, the 30˚ Tilt redistributes pressure
over a wider area than when lying supine:Studies have found that the quadriceps muscles have a better
tolerance to pressure than others as it maintains a better supply
of oxygen to the vulnerable sacrum and trochanter.
