The Diagnostic Harness
Head Unit
The main component of the PSGT is the head unit. It contains the screen and the buttons that allow you to access all of
the functions and features of the tuner.
The PSGT Polaris assembly connects to your vehicle through the diagnostic port, which is located either under the hood
or dash, depending on the vehicle. The Diagnostic Harness has a connection for the HDMI cable that plugs into the
back of the PSGT Polaris Head Unit. The illustration and numbered list below contain more information about the
other parts of this important piece of the PSGT Polaris assembly.
Front Side:
1
The PSGT Polaris head unit has seven
capacitive touch buttons. Capacitive
touch is a button style that is sensitive to
the presence of your finger. Capacitive
buttons do not need to be pushed, only
touched to activate. The front of the PSGT
Polaris head unit features a 2.4” LCD screen.
(the middle three buttons on the left are not
used)
1
Back Side:
1. T-Slot Mount Socket: Allows user to mount the PSGT Polaris
with different mounting.
4. Mini-USB port: This is the port used to connect the PSGT
Polaris to a computer with the included Mini-USB cable.

2. Power Wire Port: This port is not used for the PSGT
Polaris.
6. Future Peripherals: Not currently in use – may be
used to connect additional devices in the future.
3. Fuse: The adapter plug fuse protects the PSGT Polaris
from being damaged by unexpected power surges.
7. Pyrometer/Sensor Docking Station Port: Connects the
PSGT Polaris to optional sensors including pyrometers or
the Bully Dog Sensor Docking Station.
4. Power Switch: THIS IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT
The user will notice that on the power switch, they have
two available options. The first is KEY, and the second
is BATT. It is important that the user will leave the
switch only on BATT, (unless directed otherwise in
this manual) as this is the only function will allow the
PSGT Polaris to work properly.

these zip ties to secure the PSGT Polaris wiring to safe portions of your vehicle engine compartment.
The HDMI cable connects the PSGT Polaris Head Unit to the Diagnostic Harness.Right Angle HDMI Adapters are included
for your convenience and can be used to redirect the HDMI cable coming out of the Data Plug.

microSD Card
This included assembly is the standard mounting option for securing your PSGT Polaris Unit to your vehicle.
The microSD memory card holds all of the electronic files for the PSGT Polaris; the PSGT Polaris will not function if the
card is not installed. The card can also be removed from the PSGT Polaris Head Unit and connected to a computer via
the included card reader for periodic updates.
microSD Card Reader
In case your computer does not have an SD Card Reader port, you can plug your microSD Card into this device and then
plug it into a normal USB port in your computer to access the files for updating.
Power Wire

The Power Wire can only be used with the Razor 1000, as an option to run the PSGT when the user powers on the UTV.

Performance Test
Note: This is a Speed Sensitive Performance Test
Once this test is begun, the PSGT Polaris will show instructions to first bring the vehicle to a stop. Once the vehicle
is at zero miles per hour, the test is ready. The test will automatically start once the vehicle begins to move.
1. Choose "Performance Test" from the "Performance Testing" menu.
2. Once the screen reads "TEST STARTS WHEN VEHICLE READS SPEED", you can begin the performance test.
• Write down the code number and any description that is displayed. (It is a good idea to discuss any codes that are
detected with an OEM certified mechanic.)
