Mission Faith Promise Sunday Is Here!
Faith Promise Sunday is May 3rd! In 2015, with your help,
we will support eleven missionaries on five continents,
scores of mission outreaches at home and around the world,
and Volunteers in Mission.
Ardmore FUMC will continue to support the following missionaries: Josè & Audrey Bañales in Tulsa, Rev. Alex & Brenda Awad in Palestine, John & Colleen Eisenberg in Paraguay,
Mike & Sharol Shutts in the Congo, Revs. Wes & Joy Griffin in
Carrollton (GA), Jana Teders in Dallas, Rev. Steve & Stephanie Bredesen in Uganda, Rev. David Stephenson in Tulsa,
Rev. Fuxia Wang in Norman, Lianna Scholz in Uganda, and
Rev. Marsha Alexander in the Philippines.
First UMC will continue its support of OKVIM and disaster
relief through the UM Committee on Relief with Faith Promise giving. Also, we will finance such ministries as Impact
Ardmore, Oklahoma Circle of Care, Maua Methodist Hospital
in Kenya, Watoto Child Care, Mexico City street kids,
Ardmore Soup Kitchen, and seminary students in the Congo,
Mexico City, Nigeria, & Estonia, as well as, Spring and Fall
Work Days right here in Ardmore.

On Sunday, April 26, Rev. Larry Bauman spoke about the value of Mission Faith Promise. This coming Sunday, May 3, Rev. Barry Bennett will preach in both services and teach in the Foundations Sunday School
class. Paraguay missionaries, John and Colleen Eisenberg will also speak
during both services, as well as, in the Hope Sunday School class.

The confirmation class of 2015 will participate in a
special confirmation service on Sunday, May 3, at
5:00pm in the Sanctuary. They will be confirmed
during that service. Then, they will be “recognized”
during both the Traditional and EPIC worship services on
Sunday, May 10th.
