ALB-GOLD – Home of the Swabian Spaetzle and Pasta
ALB-GOLD is a traditional family-owned company whose headquarter is situated in Southern Germany on the
Swabian Alb. This area is the home of the Swabian Spaetzle and the cradle of pasta-making in Germany.
ALB-GOLD manufactures more than 150 different pasta shapes with the best raw ingredients and finest quality.

Lichtenstein Castle
The castle is situated on a cliff near Honau on the Swabian Alb. Built around 1200, it was twice destroyed and
subsequently fell to ruin. In 1802, the land came into the hands of King Frederick I of Württemberg, who built a
hunting lodge there. By 1837, the land had passed to his nephew Duke Wilhelm of Urach, Count of Württemberg,
who, inspired by Wilhelm Hauff's novel Lichtenstein, added the current romantic Neo-Gothic castle in 1840–42.
The castle is still owned by the Dukes of Urach, and contains a large collection of historic weapons and armour.

Price includes bus fare, tip for driver, entry to ALB-GOLD, entry and guided tour at Lichtenstein Castle.
The price for members is subsidized by your Club ☺ . We will collect the amount on the bus on our
way to ALB-GOLD, please have the exact amount ready. Lunch and other costs are individually paid.
At ALB-GOLD we’ll watch an English movie about their history and production. Before the movie, you
have time to shop at their store. Around noon, we’ll have lunch at the ALB-GOLD Restaurant. Please
state with your reservation which menu you chose from the menu choices on page 3.
We have to leave the ALB-GOLD parking lot at 13:30 sharp, as our tour of Lichtenstein Castle will start
at 14:00 sharp. We’ll have an English and a German 30-min. guided tour. After the tour, if weather
permits, we will enjoy the scenery for a while. Planned arrival time in Stuttgart: 17:00.
