There never seems to be enough of it. April is already a memory. What a good month it was. I really enjoyed giving my lecture on the Pillars; the Bromwell Discussion group continues to draw good attendance and conversation; WB:. Ben Williams’ presentation on the Masonic Letter G was excellent; Bro:. Brandon’s presentation on the Magic Flute premiered an educational musical segment we hope to have on our agenda each meeting going forward; and we hosted breakfast for the Northern Colo. Zone Meeting. Time can be found for those things of importance. Keeping with the theme of time, we are looking forward to performing two Master Mason degrees before we go dark. The Master Mason Degree is the highest level of honor we have and can participate in. As I study for this degree, the beauty of the words are made more present. The time that I am taking is not only preparing me for the degree, but also bringing me to that place where knowledge and understanding meet. Our practices are equally important, so I encourage all who are participating in the degrees, to make a strong committment to come. It is a fact that Garfield’s degree work is known for being well done. Looking ahead in May, we will be having a Fellowcraft proficiency, Fellowcraft papers presented, the MM Degree practices, and the actual Degree work . While we, technically, will be dark in June, July and August, we will be making plans for summer activities, such as our St Johns Day picnic, and our Charity Yard Sales. The May Bromwell Group will be posponed because of the Degree work.but will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of June and August. I thank you my brothers for making this shared Masonic journey an experience none of us will ever forget. Our Lodge continues to strenghten and grow. And he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of music shall be brought low... For ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken at the fountain, or the wheel at the cistern... Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit will return to God who gave it.” Bromwell Discussion Group postponed until June 17th . . . one of the most substantive things Masonically that one can expose oneself to, H e n r y B r o m w e l l ’s R e s t o r a t i o n s i n M a s o n i c Geometry and Symbolry is a compelling and sometimes astonishing book. When read and discussed in a group it is a very fulfilling night.
