Sales Floor Leader­ Store (Hourly) Position Vision The sales floor leader provides leadership to the store’s sales team thru their dynamic selling skills, outstanding customer engagement, strong product knowledge and accurate execution of all operational policies and procedures. The sales floor leader may act in a supervisory role providing all floor staff with daily guidance and direction. Position Expectations ● Deliver and support the delivery of exceptional customer care by all staff ● Make customer’s needs the highest priority focus ● Consistently greet, ask probing questions, listen and educate to build customer’s understanding of products and services which fulfill their needs ● Evaluate feet and gait for each customer ● Build sales thru suggestive selling ● Customers in all areas of the store ● Assist customers in all areas of the store ● Complete sale with thank you and offer business card and postcard follow thru ● Solve customer concerns/ returns and bring issues to the attention of store management Connect store to community ● Encourage and communicate community outreach opportunities Including clinics, events, training programs to all customers ● Participate in workplace and community initiatives ● Represent Gazelle Sports at off site events ● Engage in areas of community outreach which support the store’s strategic goals ● Understand current promotions, events and other marketing supporting brand Leadership ● As scheduled, act in a supervisory role to staff providing daily guidance and direction ● Assure there is a welcoming attitude happening in the store ● Execute morning meetings reinforcing product knowledge, community happenings, and expectations for the day. ● Assist with teaching and training of product with staff as needed ● Contribute to the continual improvement of sales floor processes ● Mentor new staff ● Be an internal role model exhibiting exceptional performance in, Timeliness, Performance measurement standards, Meeting participation, Professional attitude and appearance, Willing attitude to do what you ask of others ● Effectively manage daily staffing level of store to accommodate needs of business ● Document floor staff issues to store management and assist to resolve including tardiness ● Recognize floor staff for excellent customer care contributions and include in nightly emails Achieve performance benchmarks ● Items per receipt ● Postcards ● Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings ● Ready for selling floor/greet customers for scheduled shifts Follow operational procedures and support store staff to do so: ● Uphold store merchandising standards and cleanliness ● Follow policy and procedures accurately ● Understand Retail Star POS system and all other transactional procedures ● Understand store security systems and protocol ● Complete open and closing procedures and checklist thoroughly and complete nightly emails thoroughly ● Complete timekeeping, schedule requests accurately and timely ● Maximize down time to complete store tasks Seek knowledge and growth opportunities ● Take initiative to identify and solve problems ● Take responsibility for professional growth ● Independent worker ● Respond to coaching and feedback ● Adaptable to changing needs of the store Exhibit care ● Show desire to live Gazelle Sport’s mission and support others to do so ● Respectful and appreciative of other staff and manager’s roles ● Value team members as equals ● Promote enjoyable work atmosphere
