Happy Mothers Day!
Foundations - This is a four week class that discusses taking that first step
towards building a strong foundation of growing in your faith. It is continuing
for the next two weeks at 9 am Sunday mornings. If you are interested please
contact Paul or Carol Pachet at 403-880-9719.
Grace Quilters - Join us tomorrow, May 11 from 10 am to 1:30 pm for warm
fellowship as we create beautiful comforters. Bring your lunch, scissors, and
sewing machine if possible.
55+ Adult/Youth Games Night - Come out on Friday, May 22 at 6:30 pm in
the Chapel for a night of fun and games with our youth!
Helping Without Hurting - God calls us to care for the poor. How do we do
that in a healthy and God-honouring way? Join us for this one-day conference
by Food For the Hungry Canada featuring author Dr. Brian Fikkert, May 23
from 8 am - 4:30 pm at Foothills Alliance Church;$45. Please sign up online or

Camp Caroline Work Weekend - June 12 - 14, 7:30 pm Friday - noon on
Sunday. Enjoy a great time of fellowship as we work together to get everything
ready for Summer Camp 2015. Come for all or part of the weekend. Please
register at campcaroline.ab.ca/events/workweekend.
GBC Men’s Golf Weekend – Men of GBC, do you enjoy golf and need a
weekend away? This is your chance to build friendships, play the wonderful
game of golf, and be well fed. We will be heading to Kimberley, BC June 19 - 21.

Children’s Ministries
Kidz BLOX means
“Building Lives On Christ” and is a
GBC Sunday Morning Children’s Ministry.
Kidz BLOX helps children from Preschool to Grade 6 grow in
a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and one another.
Baby BLOX - Nursery is available for children under the age of 2 during the
Sunday Morning Service.
Mom and Tots - We meet every Thursday morning. Check out our
Facebook page to see what is happening each week.

Cindy has been helping to teach an adult Tok Pisin literacy class to national
employees for the past 6 months. Praise God that they are beginning to read
Bible verses for the first time and that they are able to have more effective
ministries in their churches and communities! Praise God for this amazing
opportunity to invest in the lives of these employees, and now friends. Please
pray for Kindame Kukunbu who has been very sick and hospitalized for many
weeks. Pray for God’s healing and for provision for the family medical
expenses.

out the prayer request section on a Connection Card found in the pew racks.
Pray for those who are unable to join us on Sunday mornings due to illness or
extended care giving circumstances.
Prayer Time - Everyone is welcome to join us at 9:45 am Sunday mornings
in the prayer room to pray for our church and the Sunday Service.
