ABOUT THE SEMINAR:
The seminar proceeding is expected to contribute to the
principles of sustainable development. It is expected to contribute
to the future policy framing regarding various developmental
issues. On a common platform of sustainable development,
economists, thinkers, scholars and social scientists from various
fields would be able to discuss the developmental issues concerning
India. An attempt would be made to assess the progress made in
implementing the outcomes of the key global summits on
sustainable development by focusing on identifying and comparing
experiences in strengthening compliance and enforcement of
national and international environmental laws. It would be an
attempt to provide technical and political input on the legal
dimensions of environmental sustainability and propose outcomes
on social justice and equity, including a possible declaration on
human rights and sustainable development.

CALL FOR PAPERS:
BACKGROUND:
Economic liberalization which began in the early 1990s has
accelerated India's growth rate to an average of 7 per cent year since
1997, up from 3.5 per cent in the 1970s. During this period India
transformed itself from an agricultural economy to a service
economy. Services now form 55 per cent of the Indian economy.
The growth and development of the Information Technology (IT)
and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) have had a
significant role in changing the face of the economy. The Indian
economy is headed in a new direction - striving to touch double –
digit annual growth rates, and a sustainable, equitable and inclusive
growth, taking into account the needs of all sections of society.
India's economic growth has passed through for major phases over
the past 60 years and is emerging to a new phase with a broad
objective of “Inclusive Growth”. The basic objective as stated by
the Planning Commission is 'faster, more inclusive and sustainable

growth'. It was mentioned that the priority areas in 12 Five Year
Plan would be betterment of farmers, small industries and cottage

industries. The objectives and targets of the 12 five year plan put
emphasis on the achievement of inclusive growth but, it is still a
burning question that whether this time India would be able to
achieve all the targets decided for the achievement of inclusive
th
growth or like 11 Five year Plan it would lag behind and the

based on research experience and extensive review of literature in
the related field of study. All accepted papers of registered authors
will be included in the seminar proceeding and proposed to be

ABSTRACT:
An abstract of about 200-250 words typed in new Roman
font style and 12 point size in 1.5 line spacing with short and
appropriate title followed by name of the author with their
designation, institutional affiliation and complete postal address
including email ID user to be submitted to the seminar
convener/organizing secretary by e-mail followed by a two hard
copies on A-4 size paper on or before 25 April 2015.
