ABOUT US My Drop in the Oceans is an innovative social enterprise founded in Geneva, Switzerland on the belief
that economic and social progress depends on fundamentally changing the way we value nature.
Inspired by the simple idea that everyone can participate in balancing our economy with nature, My Drop
in the Oceans has launched a complementary currency and platform that rewards people and
businesses for their eco-actions. The MyDIO platform also provides marketing opportunities for
businesses to meaningfully engage with consumers and sustainability in ways that bring value to their
business and the environment.
My Drop in the Oceans launched a Geneva pilot campaign in the fall of 2014 and has campaigns in
Washington DC, Kenya, India and Turkey on the docket for 2015. Operating with a team of roughly 10-15
individuals there is great opportunity for growth and mentorship. If you are a dynamic, professional,
innovative thinker who relishes an opportunity to do the work to make a difference we want to hear from
you. You need to be outgoing and tenacious to do this job well- this isn’t your typical cubicle internship.
THE INTERN’S ROLE

Community relations – managing
relationationships between partner businesses
and the MyDIO community on and off-line.
Event planning – organising meetups for the
MyDIO community and partner businesses to
connect and promote the circulation of DIO.
Business development – working with senior
level colleagues to catalyse new business within
the MyDIO community.
Sales – Visiting and calling local businesses to
share the opportunity of partnering with My Drop
In The Oceans.
Perform any other duties commensurate with
the intern’s experience.
The intern will work 80% and be awarded a
stipend of 500CHF/month
THE INTERN’S PROFILE

You speak French and English
You hold a bachelor/master degree; are
enrolled in a bachelor/master program
You study business or a related field.
You are very punctual and self motivated.
You are able to work independently and
love achieving (or exceeding) goals.
You are fun.
You have experience interacting with a
variety of people.
You have experience with one or more of
the fields to the left and are interested in
developing skills in the other areas.
