TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL CAREER CONNECT
PROGRAM
The ICTC Program provides funding for employers to hire an unemployed or
underemployed postgraduate as an intern in a full time position for a minimum of 3
months. Interns need to be identified at the time of application. Companies can be from
many different high demand sectors so long as the position is related to IT or digital
skills.
The program offers up to $13,000 for up to 50% of a participant’s salary.
Intern eligibility:





Must be unemployed or underemployed

Must be their first job in an IT related position
Between 15 and 30 years of age
Post secondary graduate
Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee status
Not in receipt of EI benefits
Company Eligibility:



Private sector
Canadian company
Offering a position in the digital economy
Examples of Eligible positions:






Junior front end developer
Marketing analyst with digital media specialization
Digital and administrative co-ordinator
Information systems intern
Electronic Information Administrator
Digital Marketing Specialist
