OVERVIEW
Petrochemicals comprise of plastics and most of other chemicals as downstream hydrocarbons derived from crude
oil and natural gas. These hydrocarbons are a valuable resource and constitute vital raw materials in industry. The
value added petrochemical products all along the value chain cater to the needs of textiles and clothing, agriculture,
packaging, infrastructure, healthcare, furniture, automobiles, information technology, power, electronics,
telecommunications etc.
The WRPTS 2015 - Distinction Awards recognizes the outstanding achievements of individuals, departments or
organizations in the petrochemical and refining sector that have associated with latest technologies to improve their
plant operations or feasibility and gained a high ROI out of their strategic decisions.
The WRPTS 2015 - Distinction Awards is presented annually by Geneva Services at its World Refining and
Petrochemical Technology Summit to individuals and corporations achieving significant, lasting progress in categories
pertaining to research, technology, process management and planning of petrochemical and refining sector.

HOW TO NOMINATE
Nominations are invited from:

»» Small / Medium / Large Scale Industry
»» Academic / R&D Institution
For a proper submission for the WRPTS 2015 - Distinction Awards, please provide the following information via
email to: [email protected]
»» Award Submission – An outline of the reasons why the nominee/company deserves to be recognized with a
particular award. This document should highlight key achievements, relevant or outstanding characteristics based
on the award category. (less than 1000 words)
»» Validation – Supporting material which you feel best validates your nomination. Examples include: financial
results, press clippings, campaign examples, testimonials, presentations and recommendation letters from CXOs/
Board members /Executive committees. (less than 1000 words)
»» Company Brief – A brief company profile in PDF format, not more than 300 words.
All award nominations must be submitted via email and should contain the necessary information/documents as
suggested above.
AWARD PROCESS
The judging process for the WRPTS 2015 - Distinction Awards is broken down into the following stages:
»» Preliminary nominations along with related documents are reviewed by the eminent judging committee who
selects the top nominations. During this stage, nominees and/or nominators may receive a call/email to discuss
their nomination by a committee member.
»» The winners will be announced at the event ceremony. A fair and unbiased decision process will be followed by
the judging committee to nominate the winner for each category.
The final award nominees will be announced through the event website by the last week of April 2015.
The WRPTS 2015 - Distinction Awards will be presented to the recipients on the 07th of May 2015 at the Post Event
Ceremony.
JUDGING COMMITTEE:
The eminent judging committee will be comprised of distinguished personalities/experts and consultants from across
the globe. The names of the panel members in the judging committee will be revealed only some days prior to the
event.
