Recently, the Corporate Tax Credit law was expanded allowing Subchapter S Shareholders to participate in the Tax Credit Program. This is a great opportunity for smaller business owners to support private education while receiving a tax credit at the same time. HOW IT WORKS: S-Corps can make a tax credit donation and pass a proportionate share of the credit onto their shareholders (owners). The total contribution made by the S-Corp in the taxable year must be at least $5000. S-Corp shareholders can donate to both the Corporate and Individual Tax Credit programs on their individual income tax return. There is an application and pre-approval process that must take place. This process will begin on July 1, 2015. For more information visit schoolchoicearizona.org or contact Kristina Arnold at [email protected] or 480-839-0906.
