Child safety seat inspections are critical to ensuring the Village's youngest Mark Rosenbaum - Here Comes the Sun Volunteer Fire Company Seeking New Members For the past 107 years, the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company has served the residents of Glen Ellyn, responding to calls for help, day or night. During these 107 years, only a few hundred men and women have shown the dedication to be able to wear the Fire Company uniform and serve. These are your neighbors, these our our friends and they represent all who call Glen Ellyn home. In 2014, the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company responded to 1350 calls for service. The Fire Company is seeking individuals who have a sense of commitment to our community and are up to the challenge of providing the residents of the Glen Ellyn Fire Protection District with the high level of service they deserve. Candidates must be: 21 years of age. Live within one mile of the Fire Protection District boundaries. Able to pass a thorough physical and background check, at Fire Company expense. Able to perform physically strenuous work. Willing to dedicate a substantial amount of time to training during the first 12-18 months while on probationary status. Dedicated to serving others as an uncompensated volunteer. Looking to be part of a small, dedicated and highly trained team of first responders. To volunteer, please contact Lt.
