Emu oil has been used for thousands of years by the Australian Aborigines as part of their

What Is AEA Certified Emu Oil?
AEA (American Emu Association) Certified Emu Oil is pure emu oil that has been tested by
an AOCS (American Oil Chemist Society) certified chemist and has been certified
to meet the stringent specifications for the Emu Oil Fully Refined Trade rules. This
well-documented certification process ensures that the emu oil has been tested
and has achieved the specifications of Pure Fully Refined Emu Oil. A sample is
held in storage and can be pulled for testing if there is any question of product
purity. Only pure emu oil that has gone through this stringent process can carry
the AEA Certification Seal. (as shown)
Is all emu oil safe?
All emu oil is not the same. There is emu oil on the market that has only been rendered and
not refined, thus it could contain contaminates such as pesticides, herbicides or bacteria.
Research has proven that refining retains the active components of the oil while removing the
contaminates.
Are there different kinds of emu oil?
Currently there are three grades of emu oil: Grade A is fully refined emu oil and meets all the
standards and specifications of 100% Fully Refined Emu Oil. Examples: 4 D Acres Pure
Refined Emu Oil, 4 D Acres ULTRA™ Emu Oil and 4 D Acres Clear Emu Oil; Grade B is
refined emu oil but does not meet the specifications of Grade A oil. Examples: Equine Aide
and Rusty’s Refined Emu Oil; Grade C is crude emu oil. Example: 4 D Acres Soap Makers
Crude Emu Oil for making homemade lye soap.
Research proves emu oil claims valid
Dr. Robert Nicolosi, Director of the Center for Health and Disease Research at the University
of Massachusetts-Lowell, has been conducting research to evaluate the following claims.
Two different trials were done to evaluate the transdermal qualities of emu oil.
 Periodic blood samples taken over a seven day period showed conclusively that emu oil
is transdermal and that it can be utilized for transdermal delivery. The data also suggests
that the transdermal qualities of emu oil might actually be greater than other oils currently
being utilized daily in hundreds of over-the-counter remedies for such things as weight
loss, smoking, testosterone and hormonal replacement therapy. There could be a future
use for emu oil as the carrier in these and other applications.
 Inflammation studies indicated that emu oil significantly reduced induced inflammation
42% to 71% depending on when it was applied. A comparison of these results with those
of other oils in the omega 3 family indicates that emu oil has a greater affect on reducing
inflammation. Since diseases such as arthritis are often earmarked by inflammation, the
anti-inflammatory properties of emu oil as well as the transdermal qualities indicate emu
oil will have a place in topical applications, if not as a stand-alone application.

RECIPES
EMU BREAKFAST STEAK
1 6oz emu filet (sliced horizontally to form 2 3oz steaks)
2 eggs (chicken or 1/2 cup emu egg)
1 Tbsp. butter
salt, pepper, garlic to taste (if you like)
Place butter in skillet to melt. Season meat to taste. Add meat to
skillet to start cooking over medium high heat. Add the 2 eggs.
When eggs are ready to be flipped, turn the steaks first. When eggs
are done, meat will be ready. Serve and enjoy. Serves 1 - 2
EMU BURGERS
1 lb. ground emu
1 egg (chicken or 1/4 cup emu egg)
salt, pepper to taste
pickles, sliced
tomatoes, sliced
onion, sliced
4 hamburger buns
Blend ground emu, egg, salt and pepper in bowl with fork. Don’t
over mix. Make 4 patties. Grill or pan fry. Place patties on bun. Garnish with onion, tomatoes
and pickles. You can add cheese for a tasty cheeseburger. Serves 4
GRILLED EMU STEAK
2 - 6 oz. emu filets
wine (we use a Chardonnay)

Marinate steak in wine for approximately 30 minutes, Season with salt, pepper and your
favorite spices or rub. Grill on high heat, 4 minutes per side. Serve 2 - 4

Emu Cooking suggestions…
Since emu meat is low fat, it loses moisture quickly and is best when cooked to a
rare or medium rare doneness (145° to 160° F internal temperature, as measured by a meat
thermometer is safe for consumption). For those who prefer meat that is well done, a moist
heat cooking method is recommended

I am the person who purchased two bottles of the 100% (emu) oil. I told you about my sister
