Safety is the Key!!!
Student Entry and Exit
(Student Agenda—Page 3)
Students are not to arrive at school
prior to 8:30 a.m. because supervision
for students is not provided until this
time. Students will be permitted to
enter the school building after this time
during inclement weather. Students are
to leave the building via their assigned
outside doors immediately following
dismissal (12:55 p.m. and 3:20 p.m.).
The parking lot is out of bounds to
students for obvious safety reasons
(unless accompanied by an adult).
Students are to enter and exit the
school grounds by walking on the
sidewalk at either side of the front yard
of the school. Students are further
directed to use city sidewalks and street
crossing guards for safe travel to and
from school.
Immune Deficiency—Please Review Information Below
At Grand Avenue, we have a student with an immune deficiency. This has the potential to make this student more
susceptible to viruses, such as the measles. In addition, family members whom have recently undergone medical
treatments may also be more susceptible. In order to keep all our Grand Avenue families healthy and safe, it is
essential we follow the steps below. It is important to note that presently, we have had no cases of the measles
at Grand Avenue. Thank you in advance.
