District-Wide Staff Learning Day
March 6, 2015
Parents are reminded that there will be no
school for students on Friday, March 6,
2015. Our staff will be attending workshops
that are relevant to their assignments during
this day long Professional Development
event.
Library Book Exchange
The recent Library Book Exchange was a
huge success with over 600 books being
exchanged. Thanks to all of the students
who participated!
Grandview Choir
Symphony Kids - March 16
New Life Fellowship Church—6:00 p.m.
The choir will be singing several selections
accompanied by the Red Deer Symphony.
Tickets are available from the school office.
$5.00 (child/senior); $10.00 (adult) and
$25.00 (family - 5 or more).
Scholastic Book Fair
“Under the Sea”
A Scholastic Book Fair will be
held on March 25 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
and March 26, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00
p.m. during the Student-Led Conferences.
Note that debit, credit cards
and cash are all accepted.
Proceeds from the Book Fair
are used to purchase new
books for the Library.

Milk Program
Milk coupons for the milk program at Grandview School are purchased in
books of 25 coupons for $20.00. Please complete the form below and
send it to the school with the appropriate funds if you would like your
child to purchase milk.
All students on the milk program will be issued coupons (one coupon per
milk). These coupons will be kept by the student and/or parents at home.
Please send a coupon with your child’s lunch if they wish to have milk on
that day. You may add your child’s name and classroom number on the
coupon if you wish. Tickets will be color coded for white and chocolate

Grandview Knapsacks
Grandview drawstring knapsacks, available for purchase, to students. The bags feature our
Grandview logo, and are available in lime green with a royal blue print or in royal blue with a lime
green print. These bags are made out of durable polyester and are perfect for swim, or gym bags, as
well as a knapsack. They measure 14.5” x 17” and have a double drawstring closure. The price of
the bags, is $10 each. Any profit, from the sale of the bags, will be used to help support and
enhance, our wonderful school. If you are interested in purchasing one, please fill out the form
below, and return to the school, with payment. Any cheques, should be made out to Grandview
Elementary PAC.

To reinforce our C.A.R. E. values, students receive C.A.R.E. coupons when they have
demonstrated one of these values. Random monthly draws are made from these coupons
and students are awarded prizes at the Assembly.
