ELIGIBILITY
Cibola County Service Area Resident
Enrolled at least half-time at the following high
schools: Laguna-Acoma, Tohajiilee, Grants, Pine
Hill, Tse Yi Gai, Quemado, or Thoreau High
School
 Incoming high school freshman to incoming
senior
 2.50 cumulative GPA or higher (preferred)


TENTATIVE STUDENT SCHEDULE
The daily schedule format:
Monday-Thursday (No Friday Classes)
9 a.m.– 1 p.m. :
1st Session
1p.m.– 1:30 p.m. :
Lunch
1:30 p.m.– 4:30 p.m. : 2nd Session
TRANSPORTATION
The academies will take place on the New Mexico
State University Grants Campus. Daily transportation
will be provided to and from the campus from central
drop-off and pick-up locations within the communities of Laguna, Acoma and Tohajiilee.
FEES
There are no fees for eligible students to participate
in the Summer Dual Credit Academies. Students
must complete all necessary assignments and be present for ALL summer academy activities to receive
three (3) college credits.
MISSION
The mission of the NMSU Grants Dual Credit
Summer Academy Program is to provide academic
enrichment and to foster post-secondary education of
Cibola County Service area high school students who
attend Grants, Laguna-Acoma, Pine Hill, Quemado,
Thoreau, Tohajiilee, and Tse Yi Gai High Schools.

Grants.
COMPLETE APPLICATIONS due: May 1, 2015
TRANSCRIPTS due: May 1, 2015
Letter of recommendation from teacher, counselor, or
tribal leader (non-related) is strongly encouraged as each
